A wonderful time was had by all on
Saturday evening at the Ripley Salvation Army talent show, organised by their youth group,
Melting Pot to raise funds for the Salvation Army. They have done really well
in the past and raised 1,500 for one particular project.
People were waiting in eager anticipation for the array of talent that was to perform.
And what an array of talent it
was, singers, dancers, piano players, monologues, poetry, songs written by the
performers themselves. I didn't take any photographs because I was too busy
enjoying myself.
After forty five minutes we had an
interlude were we could have refreshments, cups of tea, soft drinks, crisps,
popcorn and biscuits, lovely. There was also a table set out with
alternate talent on it, drawings, sketches, poetry, cross stitch and
photographs.
All in all it was a
very enjoyable evening, Melting Pot worked really hard to make it a success.
And we give thanks to God that He has so blessed us with such talents and gifts
that can be a blessing to others.
